We provide a broad range of electrical services for a number of landlords and, while many of the larger housing organisations have a “handle” on compliance matters, we find many of the smaller operators and individuals don’t. Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 for instance, with its need for fire risk assessments, does not appear to have achieved total landlord penetration, despite being law. Health and safety laws place burdens upon all dutyholders and it’s our experience that many landlords also underestimate the extent to which their duties extend.
